Sexist at times. The characterization of all except the heroine is very flat and one-sided: all male characters are assholes, a party girl, an obnoxious professional, an overly attached girlfriend. The best part: when Alice says, "Home. I'm going home", and the cab driver says
"This incredible thing, that a young girl should step over the ocean, leave the old world for the new world to join her lover, this thing will I accomplish."
